Last year when Southside Paddlers was in the early stages of club formation, one of the first things that we needed was a logo and public indentity for our club. There were a lot of ideas thrown around about colour and what image we wanted and armed with a bunch of pictures of sunsets and sprint kayakers we asked local graphic artist, Monika Brooks of Peninsula Grafics, if she could come up with a logo.
Monika created our club logo for no charge and we appreciate her support for Southside Paddlers.
To thank Monika for her support and continued advice for Southside Paddlers, included is a photo collage of a small sample of beautiful landscape paintings from a series she has painted of the Kurnell and Cronulla coastline (these paintings are now framed). Some of her original artwork will be on display in the next few months at the Royal Easter Show, Oatley Gallery, Oatley Art and Craft Fair, Kurnell Art Gallery and at the Sutherland Hospital Fete.
