Where’s Holly?

"Where’s Holly?" is the cry from the coaches, she should be here at the regatta. And usually Holly is on the water paddling, but on Saturday afternoons she has another passion and that is violin. Holly is a part of an orchestra,  the Peter Seymour Orchestra PSO, led by the legendary John Ockwell at the Sydney Youth Orchestra SYO concert, December 4, 2010.

This is the reason Holly disappears on Saturday afternoons….

She was in the second violins on the left when this video was done last year, but now has moved up to the firsts.

Her conductor J.O. is a real character. (Actually, she has several coaches/conductors in her life who are real characters….) 🙂 >>>>>>>>?

The orchestra plays the 1st and 3rd movements from Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony. The 3rd movement ends really suddenly (the audience has a bit of a laugh), because Beethoven intended it to then lead into the 4th movement (the Storm) but they haven’t learned that yet, much to Holly’s annoyance, because she likes storms! ( and Southerly Busters!
