Kayak for Kids in March

Kayak for Kids 2011

Sam Lyons, Monday, 20 December 2010

Kayak for Kids, Lifestart’s major annual fundraising event is on again on Sunday 27 March 2011.

The event provides a perfect opportunity for family, friends and business colleagues to enjoy an inspirational paddling challenge on beautiful Sydney Harbour, participating as a three person team or as a relay team of up to twelve people in a provided three seat kayak. It also provides an opportunity for experienced paddlers who have their own one or two seat craft to participate in a unique time trial as it hugs the northern shores from Blues Point to Clontarf.

Through the Everyday Hero home page at www.everydayhero.com.au you can build your own personal Kayak for Kids fundraising web page, then email your unique link to family, friends and business colleagues, inviting them to support you by making a tax deductible donation through your site. Donors receive an automatically generated tax receipt and every donation is recorded on your page along with any messages of support. Enjoy creating your personal fundraising web page and… happy kayaking!

About Lifestart

Lifestart provides early childhood intervention and school age services for children who have a disability or developmental delay. Disabilities can range from the more widely known Down syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, to much rarer genetic disorders. Research shows that early intervention ensures the best possible start in life. It supports the development of skills for ongoing learning. Lifestart’s family-centred approach to intervention meets the needs of the child and their family to enable them to participate in their local community. Lifestart’s mission is to enable these children to achieve their full potential.
