Saturday 8th January was the first surf carnival for 2011 at Queenscliff on the Northern Beaches, even though most beaches were closed that day due to an invasion of blue bottles being blown in by the north easterly winds, our Southside members braved the conditions to test out their surf skills after the Christmas break. Congratulations to both girls for toughing it out, hope there were not too many stings!
Danielle P was 6th in open ski and 3rd in 19’s
Ashleigh Fleming was 4th in open board.
