Congratulations to Emma Thomson on receiving the encouragement award for the Senior Women at the Leader Sportstar Awards presentation last Friday. It is a great achievement to be recognised for this award in the competitive environment of the Shire as there are so many women who perform well in sport and we are very proud Emma’s achievements last year which gained her that success.
Emma has not been sighted at river lately because she had an injury that has prevented her from training but has been getting treatment and is progressing well. When everything is clear to return to training we hope that she regains her momentum and can paddle herself on to more teams and success.
