Narrabeen Marathon

A small group of Busters raced today at Lake Narrabeen. Sydney put on some beautiful conditions, fresh, lots of sun and clear blue skys. Overall the club is travelling in 5th place. But if you consider that there has only been 2 or 3 boats in each race representing the club this season, that is a fine result. Today we had 6 contesting the event. Mitch Hughes, 1st Division 8 ( 15km) paddle. Mitch is preparing for the Junior World Sprint Canoe Champs, so distance work is not part of his focus at the moment. His sister Jamie paddled in Division in her first ( ranking) marathon race.  Well done Jamie.  Robert won division 9 in 55min,  with Liam 10th  and Rod and Kevin  15th.

The next marathon is June 8th at Woronora. Hopefully we will have a near  full contingent of paddlers, but as it is a long weekend, I am guessing there will be a few away from Sydney.
