It’s Marathon season again !

Picking up from Last year where we left off. Terrific results today from a small band of paddlers for Southside.

Firstly we had 2 first in Division 8 and 9.

Rhett in his first 15k race won division 8 in 1.14.41. Well done Rhett

Liam paddled a huge pb with a 53.03 to win the 10k Division 8

Emma, who is trying to overcome a persistant injury, was just outside the points. Emma, we are so proud of you and that you give it a go, 🙂  🙂 Persistance will pay off. Stick with it girl! 🙂

Our newbie, young Mr Berzins, won Division 9 in a 51.41. Great paddle Robert, but you do know this means you will have to paddle 15k next time! 🙂

And our youngsters, Rod and Kevin,  ever consistent paddled a 1.02.

At the point of writing I could not get the overall club results, but with 2 wins that is 16 points to get us off the mark. Hope you all had a good day out to Canberra. Back at the club, we had some great 200 and 2k racing from the sprinters preparing for the Nationals in 2 weeks. And we do love those new club stickers on all the boats!
